The university’s centers and programs share a common mission to educate students for leadership roles in a variety of professions. In the Nova Southeastern University educational continuum, pre-professional training begins as early as University School, continues through the college level and the various centers for professional studies, and culminates in the Institute for Learning in Retirement. Through the Nova Southeastern University education plan, students master appropriate skills and disciplines at each academic level, develop a sense of professional ethics and responsibility, and learn to appreciate the role of the professional as a key individual in society. “The NSU Plan” stresses the critical relationship between theory and practice; it reinforces and tests the classroom experience through applied research and community service as integral parts of academic experience.
Consistent with its mission, the university extends its resources to provide educational opportunities to working professionals nationwide, with faculty teaching at corporate and other locations across the country.
