The import and distribution of international goods into the domestic market has long developed and become an important link in the chain of production and circulation of goods in the global market in general and the domestic market in general.

This is the process of exchanging goods between countries around the world. Import business is importing from economic organizations and foreign companies to consume goods and materials in the domestic market and connect foreign trade activities between countries.
Besides, import business is also the activity of importing goods that cannot be produced domestically or that do not meet domestic demand and goods that domestic production is not as beneficial as importing to balance. balance, stability, and increased competitiveness between domestic and foreign products.1 The concept of import by seaway Sea transport was born quite early compared to other modes of transport. As early as the 5th century BC, people knew how to take advantage of the sea as a transportation route to exchange and trade with regions and countries around the world. Up to now, maritime transport has been strongly developed and has become a modern transport industry in the international transport system.
Compared to other methods of transporting goods, the volume of goods transported by sea accounts for nearly 80% of the total volume of goods transported worldwide. International transport service by sea is a type of international transport that uses containers to hold goods and uses specialized ships to move on the sea surface to transport goods from one country to another. According to International Standards Organization - ISO: Container is a means of transport with a fixed shape, and durable properties, meeting the needs of repeated use, with a special structure, and convenient for transporting goods by air. One or more modes of transport, especially sea transport, without having to unpack and repackage the goods along the way.
This special type of container is designed to be convenient and easy to pack and remove goods from the container. Basic characteristics of import by sea: - Transporting full container cargo (FCL) or LCL cargo (LCL). - Can transport many types of goods. - The main means of transport are large capacity ships.
- Transport distance on sea surface (water surface). - Transport routes often pass through many seaports.2 The role of imports Effectively use foreign currency to import materials and goods to serve the expanded remanufacturing process, improve labor productivity, and solve the scarcity of goods and materials in the domestic market. Ensure the stable development of the country's key economic sectors, ensure supplies and technical equipment meet development needs, and fully exploit the country's comparative advantages. Therefore, import activities bring high economic efficiency but also leave unpredictable consequences because there is always a foreign economic system that each individual country cannot easily cope with. Import activities need to comply with international and local customs and practices. Import activities take place on a large scale in both time and space, can take place in a short time or can last for many years within one country or many different countries.

Import activities are organized and carried out with many different tasks and stages. They need to be fully and thoroughly researched and placed in an interdependent relationship, taking advantage of them to achieve the highest efficiency, promptly serving domestic production and consumption activities.4 Import forms in Vietnam a) Entrusted imports: In international transactions, in some cases, due to a lack of resources, these businesses cannot participate directly in import activities. To overcome that drawback, the entrusted import method was born.
According to this method, those businesses entrust businesses with direct transaction functions to import according to their requirements. The entrusted enterprise is entitled to a portion of the remuneration called the entrustment fee and does not have to invest capital, apply for quotas (if any), or do market research, but only acts as a representative for the entrusting enterprise to transact and sign. contract as well as procedures related to the import process. b) Self-employment import: Self-employed import is an independent import activity of a direct import enterprise.
