I. Tổng Quan Về Khó Khăn Của Sinh Viên Năm Nhất Ngành Ngôn Ngữ Anh

Khó khăn trong việc học từ vựng, đặc biệt là cụm từ từ vựng, là một trong những thách thức lớn mà sinh viên năm nhất ngành ngôn ngữ Anh tại trường Đại học Quản lý và Công nghệ Hải Phòng phải đối mặt. Việc nắm vững cụm từ từ vựng không chỉ giúp sinh viên giao tiếp hiệu quả mà còn nâng cao khả năng viết và đọc hiểu. Tuy nhiên, nhiều sinh viên gặp khó khăn trong việc áp dụng cụm từ từ vựng vào thực tế, dẫn đến việc họ không thể sử dụng tiếng Anh một cách tự nhiên.

1.1. Định Nghĩa Về Cụm Từ Từ Vựng

Cụm từ từ vựng là sự kết hợp của các từ theo thói quen sử dụng của người bản ngữ. Việc hiểu rõ về cụm từ từ vựng giúp sinh viên cải thiện khả năng giao tiếp và viết lách.

1.2. Tầm Quan Trọng Của Cụm Từ Từ Vựng Trong Học Ngôn Ngữ

Nắm vững cụm từ từ vựng không chỉ giúp sinh viên giao tiếp tự nhiên mà còn cải thiện khả năng nghe và đọc hiểu. Việc sử dụng đúng cụm từ từ vựng cũng giúp sinh viên tránh được những lỗi ngữ pháp phổ biến.

II. Những Khó Khăn Chính Của Sinh Viên Năm Nhất Trong Việc Học Cụm Từ Từ Vựng

Sinh viên năm nhất thường gặp phải nhiều khó khăn trong việc học cụm từ từ vựng. Một trong những vấn đề chính là thiếu sự tự tin khi sử dụng tiếng Anh. Nhiều sinh viên cảm thấy ngại ngùng khi phải giao tiếp bằng tiếng Anh, dẫn đến việc họ không thực hành đủ. Ngoài ra, việc thiếu tài liệu học tập phù hợp cũng là một yếu tố gây khó khăn trong việc tiếp cận và hiểu biết về cụm từ từ vựng.

2.1. Thiếu Tự Tin Khi Sử Dụng Tiếng Anh

Nhiều sinh viên cảm thấy lo lắng khi phải giao tiếp bằng tiếng Anh, điều này ảnh hưởng đến khả năng học tập và thực hành của họ.

2.2. Thiếu Tài Liệu Học Tập Phù Hợp

Việc không có đủ tài liệu học tập về cụm từ từ vựng khiến sinh viên khó khăn trong việc tiếp cận và hiểu rõ nội dung.

III. Phương Pháp Học Từ Vựng Hiệu Quả Cho Sinh Viên Năm Nhất

Để vượt qua những khó khăn trong việc học cụm từ từ vựng, sinh viên cần áp dụng những phương pháp học tập hiệu quả. Một trong những phương pháp được khuyến nghị là học qua ngữ cảnh. Việc sử dụng cụm từ từ vựng trong các tình huống thực tế sẽ giúp sinh viên ghi nhớ và áp dụng chúng dễ dàng hơn. Ngoài ra, việc tham gia các hoạt động nhóm cũng giúp sinh viên tự tin hơn khi sử dụng tiếng Anh.

3.1. Học Qua Ngữ Cảnh

Học cụm từ từ vựng trong ngữ cảnh thực tế giúp sinh viên dễ dàng ghi nhớ và áp dụng chúng vào giao tiếp hàng ngày.

3.2. Tham Gia Các Hoạt Động Nhóm

Tham gia vào các hoạt động nhóm giúp sinh viên tự tin hơn khi sử dụng tiếng Anh và cải thiện khả năng giao tiếp.

IV. Ứng Dụng Thực Tiễn Của Việc Học Cụm Từ Từ Vựng

Việc học cụm từ từ vựng không chỉ giúp sinh viên nâng cao khả năng giao tiếp mà còn mở rộng vốn từ vựng của họ. Sinh viên có thể áp dụng những gì đã học vào các tình huống thực tế, từ việc viết bài luận đến giao tiếp trong các buổi thuyết trình. Điều này không chỉ giúp họ tự tin hơn mà còn tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho việc học tập và làm việc sau này.

4.1. Cải Thiện Kỹ Năng Giao Tiếp

Việc sử dụng đúng cụm từ từ vựng giúp sinh viên giao tiếp tự nhiên và hiệu quả hơn trong các tình huống thực tế.

4.2. Tăng Cường Vốn Từ Vựng

Học cụm từ từ vựng giúp sinh viên mở rộng vốn từ và cải thiện khả năng viết và đọc hiểu.

V. Kết Luận Về Khó Khăn Của Sinh Viên Năm Nhất Ngành Ngôn Ngữ Anh

Khó khăn trong việc học cụm từ từ vựng là một vấn đề phổ biến mà sinh viên năm nhất ngành ngôn ngữ Anh tại trường Đại học Quản lý và Công nghệ Hải Phòng phải đối mặt. Tuy nhiên, với những phương pháp học tập hiệu quả và sự hỗ trợ từ giảng viên, sinh viên có thể vượt qua những thách thức này. Việc cải thiện khả năng sử dụng cụm từ từ vựng sẽ giúp sinh viên tự tin hơn trong việc giao tiếp và học tập.

5.1. Tóm Tắt Những Khó Khăn

Khó khăn trong việc học cụm từ từ vựng chủ yếu đến từ sự thiếu tự tin và tài liệu học tập không đầy đủ.

5.2. Hướng Tới Tương Lai

Cần có những phương pháp học tập mới và hiệu quả hơn để giúp sinh viên năm nhất vượt qua khó khăn trong việc học cụm từ từ vựng.

So, we have to take the context into consideration in which a collocation is used to guess the meaning of a lexical collocation and use them correctly. In this research, the researcher focused on " A study on the first year English majors’ difficulties in learning lexical collocations at Hai Phong Management and Technology University ".

The subjects of this study were the first-year English major students from Hai Phong University of Management and Technology. The researcher used the main data collection instrument is a questionnaire to find out the difficulties of learning English collocations, which will help the first year English majors students find the right method to improve their vocabulary. Rationale of the study Nowadays, with the development of the international relationship among countries, learning English is playing a more and more important role in the world. People use English for communication and discussion in world forums and in different aspects of life. In Vietnam, English is also very essential for work place. Thus, learning English has become more important than ever.

However, there are still some problems today about the learning English, particularly at Hai Phong Management and Technology University, there is a fact that the English Majors at Hai Phong Management and Technology University, especially the first year English majors at Hai Phong Management and Technology University are not active in learning. Furthermore, they feel reluctant to get involved in English lessons. Therefore, their English ability is often low and very few of them can communicate in English fluently, write or read in English well. One of the major reasons is the lack of vocabulary.

It is known that collocation is one of the most problematic areas in second language learning and it seems that if one wants to improve his/her communication in another language, the collocational competence should be improved. Furthermore, students often have a problem combining words together. Foreign language students struggle more with making their speaking sound natural. This may be due to their ignorance of collocations and the interference of the mother tongue or even the second language.

Obviously, it is high time teachers chose the appropriate method to solve the problem. This study will focus on finding out the difficulties students often deal with during the time they learn English collocations and then the researcher will suggest some ways of learning collocations which help students enhance their English collocations. Therefore, the researcher has decided to this study with the title: “A study on the first year English majors’ difficulties in learning lexical collocations at Hai Phong Management and Technology University” with the hope of expanding students' knowledge of words and increasing their accuracy and fluency in English language. Aims of the study The aim of this study is to find out the difficulties students often deal with during the time they learn English collocations and give them suggestions for better ways of learning lexical collocations.

The researcher wants to change the students’ attitude on speaking English and let them find English speaking more interesting, especially learning collocation. The expectation is that the first year English majors at Hai Phong Management and Technology University can consider learning English collocations and speaking English as their favorite activities. • Finding out the difficulties in learning English collocations made by first year at Hai Phong Management and Technology University. • Finding some suggested ways and effective solutions to learn Collocation for the first year English major at Hai Phong Management and Technology University.

Scope of the study The present study focuses on finding out the difficulties students often deal with during the time they learn English collocation. In fact, there are various aspects of studying English collocations. It requires much of time and effort.
