Rationale In the current economic landscape, influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and global supply chain disruptions, understanding the factors that impact investment decisions during an economic downturn is crucial. Thus, the urgency of this study lies in contributing to our understanding of the determinants of investment behavior during this challenging period. Investor behavior is studied because numerous factors influence their investment decisions, including market trends, interest rates, exchange rates, inflation, and investor sentiment.
During an economic recession, investors may opt to invest in assets that have a low correlation with traditional investment options, such as alternative investments and gold, as a hedge against economic volatility. The factors researched in the period between 2018 and 2021 may not be applicable in the current economic downturn, raising the question of whether the determinants of investment behavior need to be reassessed. Behavioral Finance is also considered in this study as it identifies the factors that influence irrational human behavior in order to make optimal decisions, which is crucial for investors during an economic downturn. The Asia-Pacific Investment JSC (APEC) is chosen for this study as it is a top 200 fastest-growing Vietnamese company in 2023, with many investment-related products such as Real Estate, Finance, Bonds, Stocks, Education, Environment.
Selecting a public company ensures financial transparency, which facilitates research. All information about the company will be reported on a quarterly basis, making the verification of results more transparent and authentic. This also makes it more convenient to collect data from previous years for research purposes since audited financial statements are available. The A-Partner product of APEC Group is selected as the focus of this study because it is a new investment product that aims to raise capital.
Understanding the factors that impact investment decisions in this product is essential for the company's success and the investors' returns. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors that influence investment decisions in A- Partner products of APEC Group during the economic downturn, specifically in the first quarter of 2023. The study "The Influence of Factors on Investment Decisions in A- Partner Products of APEC GROUP" has been selected to investigate the factors that influence investment decisions in A-Partner products in the current market environment. Through a comprehensive analysis of relevant factors, this research aims to propose suitable options for businesses and the investment market.
This research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the factors that influence investment decisions in A-Partner products and to provide valuable insights for businesses and investors in the APEC region. Objectives of the study 2.1 General objectives The objective of the study is to identify and analyze the factors that will affect investors’ investment decisions.
