Warehouse in the F€ÌOHI. ĐỘ ABSTRACT Nowadays, with the development of services, transportation, logistics in parallel with the dependence on information technology, so there is a need place to store goods that is warehouses. Realizing that, we have created a system that has a method to auto-matching between businesses and available warehouses based on information technology under web application platforms. This web application we write in Java Script programming language and use React JS, Node Js and PostgreSQL libraries.
This system features an automatic connection between tenant needs and available host space. To be specific, proposing an optimal matching solution between warehouse rental demand and available warehouse or space. In conclusion, we think this project will apply in reality and bring the high effective vi CHAPTER 1. Thesis name A warehouse sharing platform.
Thesis objective Build a web app to simplify the fulfillment process, making it easier to manage goods and warehouse information for renter and host. Use information technology to perform intelligently matching between demand and supply much faster and optimize the benefits of the participants. Enhance e-commerce, making online shopping achieve the same experience as traditional shopping. Thesis research content, scope and method 3.
Content Build a web application to simplify the fulfillment process, and at the same time create a platform for warehouse owners to post their warehouse information for lease, and SMEs can perform warehouse leasing for their goods easily through it. Scope Due to the limited research time, we only focus on the main features such as: 3. Functional features Renter: + Manage booking, delivery orders + Manage goods + Booking for warehouse + Booking for delivery Host + Manage warehouse. + Manage incoming booking, delivery orders + Verify inbound & outbound goods Staff: + Check in booking, delivery orders + Verify warehouse information + Manage compensation information + Matching available warehouse and rental demand 3.
Non-functional features: + Optimal matching algorithm. + Friendly & easy-to-use user interface. Method Using available libraries, technologies for building website and API server such as: + ReactJS for building user interfaces. + NodeJS for building an API server.
+ PostgreSQL as a database. Tools Docker & Docker-compose Use Docker to pack system components into containers, use Docker compose to link these containers together to form a comprehensive system. PgAdmin4 Using pgAdmin4 to easily manage the Postgre database, used to do things such as: backup, create new tables, retrieve data,. Postman Use to test the API before integrating into the frontend.
BACKGROUND AND THEORY 1. Problem E-commerce in Viet Nam - the potential market As one of the countries with the highest GDP growth rates in recent years, Vietnam's e-commerce industry is expected to grow into Southeast Asia's second largest market. According to retailnews.asia, by 2021, there will be 42 million e-commerce users in Vietnam, accounting for nearly 60% of the total population. The Google and Temasek report forecasts that Vietnam's e-commerce industry will reach $15 billion by 2025, with an annual growth rate of 43% in the period 2015-2025.
In Southeast Asia, Vietnam is the second fastest growing market, after Indonesia. Pressure on logistics infrastructure The way we shop has changed, but the logistics that support it have been slow to catch up. The supply chain was built for the pre-internet era where goods were sold in a centralized marketplace. Logistics networks were built to get goods to store shelves, not to customer’s doorsteps.
So, when eCommerce and omnichannel retail came along and completely changed the way we shop, it not only increased the demands on retailers and brands, but made the old way of distributing products to customers outmoded and inefficient. Traditional warehouse solutions: - Enterprise can build an in-network facility that it owns, outfit, and operate. - Enterprise can lease its own facility, outfit it, and then operate it. - Enterprise can lease space and services from a third-party logistics provider (3PL) to manage operations on a long-term, multi-year basis.
Its warehousing needs will depend on the enterprise's business, and some combination of these may in fact be a great solution for it. But their are some major drawbacks as well: + Expensive: Traditional solutions come with steep upfront capital investments and costly project setup fees. + Slow: Changes to the enterprise’s owned network won’t happen in an instant, and leasing space from traditional providers comes with long sourcing and implementation times. + Limited: With typical warehouse partners, its growth is limited by their network locations and capabilities.
On-demand warehousing The rise of eCommerce made it clear that the traditional methods for managing warehousing and fulfillment weren’t going to work (more on that later). As a result, an entirely new way to manage storage, fulfillment, and retail distribution, known as on-demand warehousing, came to be. On-demand warehousing gives retailers and brands a scalable, flexible warehousing solution. It relies on a marketplace model and transactional pricing so that retailers and brands can expand and contract their networks as needed.
With on-demand warehousing, retailers and brands can build flexibility into their logistics strategies to support the myriad of ways customers shop today. Whether it’s online, omnichannel, pop-up shop, buy-online-pickup-in-store, or some other method that doesn’t yet exist—on-demand warehousing gives businesses the ability to adapt to the demands of their customers today, and tomorrow. On-demand warehousing gives them the ability to expand their logistics solution as demand grows. Fulfillment service The process of fulfillment service is not simple, completing orders requires a process of arranging, managing, and coordinating to get goods to buyers quickly and accurately.
The process of fulfillment services for e-commerce is outlined as follows: Receiving goods from Sorting and string Handling when an order the seller occurs Packaging _— Handling post-purchase Collecting cash if requested by = Shipping (return or exchange ) the seller — ee Figure 2.1: Fulfillment service model Theory We create a platform / marketplace connecting warehouse providers who have excess capacity and services with retailers and brands who need flexible solutions. Through an on-demand, pay-as-you-go model, retailers and brands can secure warehousing and fulfillment solutions quickly and with no long-term commitments or costly setup fees. On-demand warehousing for eCommerce fulfillment gives retailers and brands the flexibility to scale their fulfillment networks, as needed, to enhance their direct-to- consumer strategy. Retailers and brands can pop up warehousing and fulfillment networks to improve their delivery promises, test new markets, and create short-term product promotions.
Especially when the most important channel of e-commerce retailers was direct-to- consumer sales, often using on-demand warehousing as their entire logistics network—letting our platform handle the logistics, while they focus on customers and growing their business. Visionary + Foreign clients can send the products to our platform and start selling in Vietnam. On-demand warehousing platforms like us have their backs. + Shopping online = shopping offline Nowadays, the problem of online delivery is the time that it takes to deliver and receive the goods when the customer buys online compare to offline shopping.
Therefore, we use available warehouses from hosts who have available space to store renter's goods. To be specific, increasing the number of warehouses across the country to facilitate delivery which will be resolved quickly and on time. Thanks to those, we will increase satisfaction and trust from customers, and customers feel buying online is like buying offline. Become a third-party, a module for e-commerce businesses - those who want to reduce inventory managing cost, delivery time and enhance customer shopping experience.
Enhance the experience of online shopping, promote e-commerce, because we believe that e-commerce is the inevitable trend of the times, and the main factor responsible for the exponential growth of e-commerce is in the hands of the logistic industry, namely the fulfillment service. Postgres SQL Introduction PostgreSQL (often referred to as Postgres) is an open source object-relational database management system with a particular focus on extensibility and standards compliance. It is a highly used and tested solution having started in 1981 as the Ingres project at the University of California. The project was later named Postgres as it became "post Ingres", and then in 1996 the online presence at the website PostgreSQL.org was launched while the project was renamed PostgreSQL to reflect its support for SQL.
Technically, PostgreSQL is an advanced, enterprise-class, and open-source relational database system. PostgreSQL supports both SQL (relational) and JSON (non- relational) querying.
