The necessity of topic: In recent years, Vietnam Banking has achieved significantly, which contributed considerably in the development of our country. These achievements are thanks to the huge contributions of Vietnam Commercial Banks.
The ability of making use of opportunities and facing the challenges in activity is the basic factor for existence and sustainable development of Vietnam Commercial Banks. Maintaining the tasks in the following year, besides available advantages Vietnam Commercial Banks will be able to face many threats. Especially, the process of reform and integration will make the competitive level become harsher and harsher. It is the competition among Vietnam Commercial Banks and it is more difficult when it is the competition between Vietnam Commercial Banks and Foreign Commercial Banks.
To meet the actual demand of business activity in the process of development and international integration, Vietnam government has made commitments with international finance organizations on opening finance market and banking market of Vietnam. Therefore, Vietnam Commercial Banks need have changes about their direction in order to meet the demands of new situation. In order to be successful in a volatile business environment and to take the initiative in the process of integration, Vietnam Commercial Banks must build business strategies and solutions to implement more effectively and become prestigious, competitive and effective Commercial. The role of business strategy is very important, however, to fulfill business strategy is actually a new activity for Vietnam Commercial Banks.
However, in comparison with development demand of the economy, directly being economics in the local has got many problems which need to be studied and discussed, such as the policy mechanism of State, the loan procedures and regulations, interest rate, …and especially, the activities of investing capital have not become business strategies of commercial banks, including Vietinbank– Ninh Binh Branch. From the above reason, Group 1 chose the topic “Solutions to fulfill 1 business strategy of Vietinbank– Ninh Binh Branch to the year of 2015” to be the objective for research of Group 1. Definition of business strategy of corporate In terms of history, business strategy was firstly used in military, after that it was imported into other field of social economics field, from the 50’s of XXth century, business strategy was implemented widely in the management field and strategic management asserted that it was a direction and an effective management method. Because of different approaches about strategy, many different definitions of strategy were given, up to now there has not been a common and united definition about this term.
We can raise some concepts as following: According to competitive approach, Micheal Porter supposed that “business strategy is an art of building the sustainable competitive advantage to defense” According to K.Ohmae: “Objective of strategy is to bring the most advantages for one side, assesses the point of attacking or withdrawing, identifies the border of the deal and he emphasized that “there is no competitor, not need strategy, the only objective of strategy is to ensure winning sustainable competitor”. According to planning approach, James B.Quinn supposed that: “business strategy is a form or a plan which combines all main objectives, the policies and the activity programs into general program linked with each other”. And according to William J.Gluech: “Business strategy is a united plan, a comprehensive plan and cooperated plan to ensure that the basic objectives of corporate will be implemented”.
