In the context of an increasingly competitive business market, companies must fully utilize their human resources in order to operate and prosper. Considered to be a crucial factor in a company's success or failure, human resources are an essential part of any organization. In other words, a business can only run efficiently if its personnel are properly managed, given opportunities for improvement, and put forth strong efforts at work. Thus, without human resources, no business can succeed.
Understanding the value of human resources, many businesses have made significant investments in upholding and developing its human resources. However, it is a common fact that the quality of labor in Vietnam today does not match the requirements of business development. In Industrial Revolution 4.0, some people lack the knowledge and abilities necessary to guarantee the rate of progress and productivity of the specified work. The employment process may not have been rigorous enough, which resulted in a large number of hirings yet unsuccessful operations.
Employee training and development are thus very necessary for business growth in this case. Khan (1987) defined human resource development as the process of enhancing the knowledge, abilities, positive attitude and value of everyone involved in company activities at all levels in a business. Lately, Wang et al. (2017) defined Human resource development (HRD) as a strategy for shaping people's values and beliefs as well as developing their skills through learning-related activities in order to support the host institutional system's goal-oriented performance.
Human resources management (HRM) is the process of properly managing personnel, their work performance, and all other matters pertaining to them inside a company enterprise (Gilbert et al. Organizations differ in terms of their size, internal structure, and the types of activities they carry out. Bringing people and resources together to achieve a goal or mission is a practice shared by all companies. All of these resources need to be under control in order to be able to explain how purposes were achieved.
Since human resources are regarded as a crucial component of a company, they must be controlled. A control system, Tran Thị Hong Nhung — 11194089 — Business English 61A according to Arthur (1994), is defined by rules and procedures, performance evaluation, direct observation of employees’ behaviors, and measuring and rewarding employees’ outputs. Mi Group Trading Company Limited has been aiming to establish a welcoming workplace where its employees can foster their self-discipline or personal growth.
