I. Tổng quan về nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học Anh

Nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học Anh qua dịch thuật là một lĩnh vực quan trọng, giúp hiểu rõ hơn về cách mà ngôn ngữ được sử dụng để thể hiện cảm xúc và đánh giá trong các tác phẩm văn học. Ngôn ngữ đánh giá không chỉ phản ánh quan điểm của tác giả mà còn ảnh hưởng đến cách mà người đọc tiếp nhận và hiểu nội dung. Việc phân tích ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học Anh thông qua lăng kính dịch thuật mở ra những góc nhìn mới về sự tương tác giữa ngôn ngữ và văn hóa.

1.1. Định nghĩa ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học

Ngôn ngữ đánh giá là một phần quan trọng trong việc thể hiện cảm xúc và quan điểm của tác giả. Nó bao gồm các yếu tố như thái độ, sự tham gia và mức độ đánh giá, giúp người đọc hiểu rõ hơn về ý nghĩa của tác phẩm.

1.2. Tầm quan trọng của dịch thuật trong nghiên cứu văn học

Dịch thuật không chỉ là việc chuyển đổi ngôn ngữ mà còn là quá trình truyền tải văn hóa và ý nghĩa. Nghiên cứu dịch thuật trong văn học Anh giúp làm nổi bật những thách thức và cơ hội trong việc truyền đạt ngôn ngữ đánh giá.

II. Vấn đề và thách thức trong nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá

Một trong những thách thức lớn nhất trong nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá là sự khác biệt về ngữ nghĩa và văn hóa giữa các ngôn ngữ. Khi dịch các tác phẩm văn học, việc bảo tồn ý nghĩa và cảm xúc của ngôn ngữ gốc là rất khó khăn. Điều này có thể dẫn đến việc mất mát thông tin hoặc thay đổi ý nghĩa ban đầu.

2.1. Khó khăn trong việc dịch ngôn ngữ đánh giá

Ngôn ngữ đánh giá thường chứa đựng những sắc thái tinh tế mà khó có thể chuyển tải sang ngôn ngữ khác. Điều này đòi hỏi người dịch phải có kiến thức sâu rộng về cả hai ngôn ngữ và văn hóa.

2.2. Ảnh hưởng của văn hóa đến ngôn ngữ đánh giá

Văn hóa có thể ảnh hưởng đến cách mà ngôn ngữ đánh giá được sử dụng và hiểu. Những yếu tố văn hóa này cần được xem xét kỹ lưỡng trong quá trình dịch thuật để đảm bảo tính chính xác và phù hợp.

III. Phương pháp nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học

Nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học Anh thường sử dụng các phương pháp phân tích định tính và định lượng. Các phương pháp này giúp xác định các yếu tố ngôn ngữ và văn hóa ảnh hưởng đến cách mà ngôn ngữ đánh giá được thể hiện trong các tác phẩm văn học.

3.1. Phân tích định tính trong nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ

Phân tích định tính cho phép nghiên cứu sâu về các yếu tố ngữ nghĩa và văn hóa trong ngôn ngữ đánh giá. Phương pháp này thường sử dụng các ví dụ cụ thể từ văn bản để minh họa.

3.2. Phân tích định lượng và ứng dụng của nó

Phân tích định lượng giúp xác định tần suất và mẫu hình của ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong các tác phẩm văn học. Điều này cung cấp cái nhìn tổng quan về cách mà ngôn ngữ đánh giá được sử dụng.

Nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá trong văn học Anh qua dịch thuật là một lĩnh vực đầy tiềm năng. Với sự phát triển của công nghệ và các phương pháp nghiên cứu mới, việc khám phá sâu hơn về ngôn ngữ đánh giá sẽ mở ra nhiều cơ hội mới cho nghiên cứu và ứng dụng trong thực tiễn.

5.1. Tương lai của nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá

Nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ đánh giá sẽ tiếp tục phát triển, đặc biệt trong bối cảnh toàn cầu hóa và sự giao thoa văn hóa ngày càng tăng.

5.2. Những hướng nghiên cứu mới

LUAN VAN CHAT LUONG download : add [e-mail] iii ABSTRACT This thesis aims at investigating language of graduation, or rather intensification, in English literary discourse through the lens of translation. The study builds on the theoretical framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) by Halliday (1985; 2004) and the linguistic theory of Appraisal developed by Martin and White (2005) with a view to examining the realisations of intensification as embodied in English literary discourse.

Via the lens of translation, the thesis stands on the translation models by Nida (2004), Vinay and Darbelnet (2004) and Munday (2012) to analyse the rendering of the expressions of intensification into Vietnamese as well as strategies employed in the process of translation. The thesis has been conducted using qualitative methods and descriptive research with quantitative information in order to deal with problems. The data collected for this research include a sample of around 2,121 expressions of intensification taken from four selected English literary works of critical realism and socialist realism in the period of mid-18th century and mid-19th century, and 400 expressions chosen with their Vietnamese translated versions for an analysis of translation. The research has expanded the category of intensification into three well- prescribed sub-types with examples taken from the literary discourse, namely (i) isolating intensification; (ii) infusing intensification; and (iii) intensification via rhetorical devices.

This prescription can provide a detailed picture of intensification, especially the various realizations of intensification at different ranks from word level involving lexical words and non-lexical words to above-word level or ranks like groups and clauses. The research helps illuminate intensification from a more functional approach rather than from that of structural linguists and grammarians. Noticeably, the research has discovered the nuances of the meaning of intensification through the lens of translation. When it comes to communicating across languages, the level of intensity can preserve or can be adjusted in the inclination of sliding-up or sliding-down, at the same time, the thesis has demonstrated strategies of translation used in the process of rendering the meaning of intensification into Vietnamese.
