In the past, we had to work in dangerous conditions without any assistant devices or an equipment which protect your life while working but nowadays we have a better working conditions with assistant devices and equipment, we have better living conditions, modern medical instruments. However, along with the benefits of the development of science and technology is pollutions and the most dangerous pollution is air pollutions.
Human cannot live without breathing, we have to breath to live and we cannot know that the thing we breathe in is good or bad by smelling. Breathing in polluted air will make asthma symptoms worse and trigger an asthma attack, cause cardiovascular disease. Air pollution could make adults’ health worse day by day but it will make children who has immune system worse than adult worse immediately. It interferes with the child's maturation process.
Monitoring the air quality is necessary to have a relevant solution to protect children’s health. Therefore, in order to protect the health of people we have to know the measurement of the air. So this also the purpose of our project:” DESIGN AND CONSTRUCT A MODEL OF A VEHICLE TO MONITOR THE QUALITY OF THE ENVIRONMENT REMOTELY”. We were allowed by my advisor to use the model:” AlphaBot2 Robot Building Kit for raspberry Pi 3B/3B+/4B from hshop.
This model has many functions but in this project we just use some of them. PROBLEM STATEMENT Contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere that is defined is air pollution. The emission from daily activities such as household combustion devices, motor vehicles, industrial facilities and forest fires are common sources of air pollution. Pollutants of major public health concern include particulate matter, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide.
Outdoor and indoor air pollution cause respiratory and other diseases and are important sources of morbidity and mortality. WHO data show that almost all of the global population (99%) breathe air that exceeds WHO guideline limits and contains high levels of pollutants, with low- and middle-income countries suffering from the highest exposures [1]. Air quality is closely linked to the earth’s climate and ecosystems globally. Many of the drivers of air pollution (i.
combustion of fossil fuels) are also sources of greenhouse gas emissions.
