Reasons to choose this thesis: Training work for female cadres and officials of Women’s Union still remains high demands however the Academy’s capacity in meeting such needs is limited, the lecturer staff is lacking in both quantity and quality.
There are very few lecturers having academic title, academic distinction and professional lecturers who have specialized knowledge in gender and women’s study. The training management of the Academy has also not reached the expected results. The Academy’s training program has only met the need of specific and short term training demand of the officials working in Women’s Union movements at all levels. The contents of the training program as well as certificate and degree of the Academy are not suitable to the standard requirement of the state management agencies in training and education.
Group 7: Hà -Trang — Hằng Class: Uppsala Intake3 Master thesis This thesis aims to bring out overall view on the training work for lecturers at the Vietnam Women’s Academy, assess the advantages and challenges or limitation of cach part of the training work in order to design a new training program for the Academy based on logical framework which will show the specific, practical and logical activities, outputs and results. Therefore, we will give out some solutions and recommendations in order to improve the quality of the training work for lecturers at the Vietnam Women’s Academy Methodology: Document analysis, Questionnaires. Results and Conclusions: This theme aims to study the measures to enhance the effectivencss of training work for teacher in order to improve the overall quality of teaching staff in both short term and long term. This is areal meaning and long term work requiring the attention ofthe school management to direct and organize the implementation with the highly united and determined of staff, lecturer, and research of the school.
Withthe goals and tasks, this thesis performed the following basic contents: 1. Researching and analyzing to clarify the role and activities of teaching staff; locationof the training oflecturer; themanagement of training lecturer in the current period. Deeply analyzing and assesses the status of teachers; reality raining activities. 3asing ontheoretical and analytical assessment of the situation n the faculty training topics suggested possible solutions based on the given frame to enhance, improve effectiveness of training teachers.
Group 7 Hà -Trang — Hằng Class: Lopsala Intake3 Master thesis Limitations and proposed next steps: The study is limited of deployment, new research just outlined the training lecturer of school, have not collected data on several criteria also built up model evaluation, the criteria for assessing the quality of training teaching staff. Based on this subject, we can further research on the management of the training teacher effectively. Contribution the thesis: This is one of few primary studies in the field of the training lecturer of the Vietnam women academy. Research — results help managers see _ the real situation on the training lecturer ofschool from that point giving a logical framework which to view a specific problem.
That means the thesis gave specific activities such as how to training lecturer, how to classify lecturer to get concrete results with the goal of immediate and long-term goals. The Instruction No.Ư dated 16-5-1994 affirms that: “Increasing the rate of female officials participating in state management, social-economic management is one of the important demands to perform women’s rights in equality and demarcation and is condition to promote talent, brainpower and position of women”. The Resolution No. II-NQ/TW of the Political Bureau on women’s mission in the period of promoting national industrialization — modernization has determined that: “It is necessary to set up and implement the training program for female cadres in region by region; to ensure that the number of women attending training courses in colleges reaches at least 30%.
Creating the resource of female cadres should be included in the strategy of developing national labor resource, taking care, promoting female talent officials.” The Vietnam Women’s Academy is one of the place training female official resources. It is necessary to improve training work and training management of the lecturers in order to implement effectively the State and Party’s policies and guideline on women’s work. Background Following the guideline of the Communist Party and facing the urgent requirement of training and forstering oficers of Vietnam Women’s Union, Central Women Party Committee and Central Standing Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union agreed with the preparation for establishing the Academy in 1959. Central Standing Committee of Vietnam Women’s Union decided to establish the Central Agitaion and Propaganda Academy on 8/3/1960 for training and improving the qualification for Vietnam Women’s Union officers in all levels and for officers doing Agitaion and Propaganda activities in relevant branches. The date of 8/3 was considered the Academy’s traditional day since then. The Academy came into operation in 1962.
Besides the short-term training courses (from 2 to 3 months) to propagand the decrees of Communist Party regarding women’s movement activities and application in reality, the Academy opened the first long-term course (duration of 15 months) on 4/4/1962.
