We conducted study on a subject that can assist people avoid using money to pay for bus tickets in order to stay current with people's tendencies.
Thus, cashless payment was born. Over the past 2 years, the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic has affected and had a heavy impact, making the revenue of the bus route only 45-50% compared to before. Despite taking measures to prevent and control the epidemic, just being careless by passengers can spread the disease. Especially when paying directly on the bus, the possibility of hand-to-hand transmission is very high.
Hence, in this project, I will design and construct an automatic bus fare payment model, to replace the traditional payment method, which is cash exchange. Each user of this popular public transport will be issued with a user card that includes personal information, the user will proceed to scan the card for each bus ride. Depending on the type of card registered, the system will make payment directly through the account in the card and store trip information. In addition, passengers can easily manage and track information about their journey with a mobile application.
PROBLEM The continuous development of the scientific and technological revolution has a strong impact and creates a great source of motivation to promote the process of globalization. The advances of science and technology include inventions, inventions, advanced technical measures, modern technological methods and new management methods in all fields applied to production and business practices that increase labor productivity. Today, in vietnam's major cities, buses are a fairly popular means of public transport. In addition to meeting a large volume of people's transportation, buses are also considered as a type of clean transport that helps limit traffic jams, reduce the number of travels of private vehicles - a big factor causing environmental pollution problems.
In the provinces, bus travel is still operating with cash transactions or monthly tickets. However, this form also brings many inadequacies in charging and is time-consuming, especially in the complicated epidemic situation like last year, health issues are always a top priority. Thesmart e-bus card project was also piloted on 9 bus routes in Ho Chi Minh City in October/2022. According to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, the model of automatic bus fare payment via smart electronic cards has been piloted on 141 buses.
This is the route that passes through universities, has a large number of travels, and at the same time targets the test audience is young people, who have high access and use of e-wallet payments. With the above model, there are 2 methods for users to pay including: Physical card (UniPass) and QR application code on smartphones. In addition, with the permission of the People's Committee, the Department of Transport and the Center for Public Transport Management of Ho Chi Minh City. Although the smart bus card has many utilities, after more than a year of piloting in Ho Chi Minh City, not many passengers use this type of card.
A part of passengers are manual workers who want to use this type of smart card for travel, but they do not have email accounts or e-wallets. However, the main reason is still due to the habit of using traditional forms of payment of users. Scanning QR codes, registering accounts on smart phones, linking prepaid payments via e-wallets, bank accounts is still too strange. for middle-aged customers.
By 2019, under the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and rapid spread only through normal contact activities.
