I. Tổng quan hệ thống phát hiện ổ gà YOLOv8n trên Jetson Orin

Quá trình suy luận đạt tốc độ khung hình cao, giải phóng bộ nhớ và duy trì nhiệt độ bo mạch an toàn.

Sincerely, Students Pham Tran Minh Le Quang Nhat Nam ii ABSTRACT Automated road inspection is a critical component of intelligent transportation systems, yet traditional methods rely heavily on manual labor or expensive specialized vehicles. This work presents a comprehensive design and deployment of a real-time Pothole Detection System on the edge, specifically optimized for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit. Our methodology introduces a novel "Zero-Latency Geotagging" approach, utilizing smartphone-based data acquisition to embed high-precision GPS telemetry directly into the video stream, thereby eliminating synchronization drift. To achieve real-time performance on resource-constrained hardware, we employ a multi-stage optimization pipeline.

The state-of-the-art YOLOv8n model is transformed into a hardware-accelerated TensorRT engine, utilizing FP16 precision quantization and Layer Fusion to exploit the specific capabilities of the Ampere GPU architecture. Furthermore, the inference workflow is orchestrated by a custom Asynchronous Multi- threading Architecture, which decouples heavy I/O tasks—such as video encoding and visualization—from the main processing loop. Experimental results demonstrate that the system achieves an inference throughput of 102.34 FPS, exceeding standard real-time requirements (30 FPS) while maintaining a balanced system load. The system successfully detected and localized multi-instance road defects with high confidence (>0.60) under dynamic conditions.

Finally, the study translates these visual detections into a Digital Geospatial Map, accurately plotting the coordinates of identified potholes to facilitate targeted maintenance operations. This solution offers a low-cost, high-efficiency alternative for automated road asset management.
