Cánh tay robot 6 bậc tự do gồm sáu khớp nối quay độc lập. Mỗi khớp trang bị động cơ servo AC kết hợp bộ mã hóa encoder độ phân giải cao. Khung thân chế tạo từ hợp kim nhôm chịu lực cao nhằm giảm mô-men quán tính. Bộ truyền động sử dụng hộp giảm tốc hành tinh hoặc hộp giảm tốc sóng harmonic. Cơ cấu này triệt tiêu độ rơ cơ khí và đảm bảo độ lặp lại vị trí dưới mức milimet. Cấu trúc chuỗi động học hở mang lại phạm vi chuyển động không gian linh hoạt. Khâu cuối tích hợp giác hút chân không hoặc kẹp cơ khí tùy theo hình dạng phôi tải. Robot vận hành bền bỉ trong môi trường công nghiệp khắc nghiệt.

Sincerely thanks ABSTRACT We have developed an advanced intelligent scanning and grasping system utilizing the versatile functionality of a 6-axis Mitsubishi industrial robot. This solution is the result of an intricate integration of cutting-edge computer vision technologies and robust motion control systems. The perception layer of the system is powered by Cognex VisionPro QuickBuild, which operates as its "eyes," executing complex object recognition tasks to locate and identify target workpieces in the workspace. Once identified, the software determines precise spatial coordinates and seamlessly transmits this data to the robot controller, creating an efficient link between visual detection and physical execution.

The control system employs a dual-software configuration to ensure optimal performance and reliability. GX Works2 is used to manage core sequence logic, overseeing peripheral synchronization and adherence to safety protocols. Meanwhile, MT Developer2 is tasked with designing precise motion trajectories for the robot, enabling smooth, highly optimized movements that minimize cycle times. Additionally, a customized Human-Machine Interface (HMI) created using GT Designer3 serves as a central command hub.

This tailored interface provides operators with real-time monitoring and the ability to adjust parameters dynamically as needed. Comprehensive testing has demonstrated that this seamless integration of high-speed vision technology with precise motion control significantly boosts the system's overall efficiency. The synergy between the Cognex vision platform and the Mitsubishi motion architecture delivers exceptional positioning accuracy and enhanced throughput, establishing this solution as highly effective for complex automated sorting and material handling tasks. For manufacturers, it is the most effective way to cut labor costs while boosting both productivity and product quality. This is particularly true in material handling and assembly, where the speed of moving components defines the overall cycle time. While automated pick- and-place systems are now standard in automotive and electronics sectors, achieving high efficiency remains difficult—especially when dealing with randomly oriented objects or items of varying shapes. To address this, Mitsubishi 6-axis robots have become a go-to solution due to their flexibility and precision.

Unlike simpler machines, they can execute multi-directional movements and adjust positioning instantly, ensuring consistency even in complex sorting tasks. This project aims to harness those capabilities by designing a control unit for an 'AUTOMATED PICK-AND-PLACE AND SORTING SYSTEM.' The core objective is to build a system that balances speed with manipulation accuracy, validated through practical testing. Beyond the technical specifics, we hope the results will serve as a practical reference for using 6-axis robots in local manufacturing, contributing to the broader growth of Vietnam's automation industry.2 Research Objectives This project centers on building a control framework for a 6-axis robot, specifically tailored for pick-and-place and sorting tasks. Our primary goal is to drive improvements in stability, precision, and overall efficiency within industrial material handling.

To achieve this, we developed a working prototype capable of detecting, gripping, and accurately positioning objects of varying geometries.3 Classifying the load group 1 CHAPTER I: INTRODUCTION - To design the mechanical structure of the adhesive dispensing system integrated with a 6-axis robot - To select and integrate essential components such as servo motors, servo amplifiers (drives), sensors, and related mechanical assemblies - To develop control software for the 6-axis robotic system, including algorithms for precise motion control, object image recognition, and dispensing process control - To develop a user interface (HMI) to facilitate easy parameter adjustment and real-time monitoring of system performance 1.4 Project Limitations - The scope of research is restricted to the utilization of a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) as the primary control unit for the dispensing model - The system is designed to apply adhesive only to objects characterized by uniform height and simple color patterns/backgrounds. - Since the dispensing mechanism is pneumatically actuated (operated by compressed air), the consistency and finish of the adhesive bead may not be fully optimized. - The adhesive used in the model must possess an appropriate viscosity. Fluids that are excessively viscous (too thick) or too diluted (too runny) are not compatible with the system.

- The positioning of the dispensed adhesive path still exhibits positional errors, making the current model unsuitable for industrial applications requiring high-precision tolerances.5 Project Content The structure of the thesis is organized as follows: Chapter II: Introduction 2 CHAPTER I: INTRODUCTION This chapter presents an overview of the project, explains the motivation behind its implementation, and outlines the objectives and limitations encountered during the development process. Chapter II: Theoretical Basis This chapter provides an overview of PLCs, specifically the Mitsubishi Q- series PLC, along with servo motors, servo drivers (controllers), and encoders. Additionally, the chapter covers various kinematic calculation methods, the theoretical background of the Sequential Function Chart (SFC) programming language, an introduction to industrial communication protocols, as well as foundational concepts in image processing.
