It looks into the effect of determining factors including privacy concern, trust, system quality satisfaction, continuance intention, perceived security, perceived ease of use and social influence on users' intention to use. Design/Methodology/Approach : Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling is used to analyze the data, and the study is based on a survey that was given to a sample of 258 people. Finding : The statistical techniques revealed that several major factors, including privacy concern, trust, system quality satisfaction, continuance intention, perceived security, perceived ease of use and social influence , stand out as the barriers to the continuance intention to use e-banking services in Viet Nam.
Implication : A number of implications are theorized in this study regarding the intention to continue using electronic banking. It alerts Vietnamese banks to the complete capability of their e-banking systems while highlighting advantageous safety aspects, which may help to improve unfavorable client attitudes. By concentrating on how banks should appropriately improve their utilization of shared value, it also helps banks elicit the theory of client value. It will also show management how e-banking predictors could give customers fast and relevant information.

Consumers are becoming more accustomed to the interactions that involve digital media, which enables them to share information, conduct business, shop online, and access new services. Consumers today want financial services that are accessible 24/7 and that integrate with their regular social networks. As many sectors adopt "digitization" as an expansion of conventional social interaction, the importance of social networks dramatically grows (Skinner, 2014). As of the third quarter of 2019, Facebook, one of the most popular social networks worldwide, had 2.45 billion active users (Clement, 2020).The growth and development of mobile devices is a significant component advancing the digital transformation process.
According to Skinner (2014), the average global mobile phone adoption rate is close to 70%, laying the groundwork for the creation of new mobile applications. A survey of consumers in 22 countries provides an example of this: between 2013 and 2014, the use of mobile banking applications climbed by 19 percentage points, while the use of internet banking services remained essentially steady (Bain & Company, 2014).The debut of a variety of products, services, and sales channels in the Vietnamese banking industry from 2011 to 2016 was a notable development.Although there have been significant improvements in credit institution performance overall, the development of global economic integration has also raised rivalry among commercial banks. Each commercial bank has been driven to look for new chances to increase its profit in order to deal with the growing issues in the banking sector, such as improving client connection through innovative services linked with practical experience.Traditional banking services are no longer able to keep up with the changes in consumer behavior in the digital age. Customers are becoming more and more accustomed to convenience and 7 simplicity in goods and services, and mobile devices and tablets make it easier to get information about goods and services.
Commercial banks have realized the potential of the digital revolution and have abandoned the conventional manner of functioning through branches. According to a McKinsey assessment, prospects for the bank's net profit in 2014 ranged from 43% to 48% due to the impact of digital technology. Digital banking has been a strategic goal and competitive advantage for many banks. Additionally, more and more E-banking has partnered with retail establishments to expand their payment network as "cashless" societies gain popularity among Vietnamese citizens.
Vietnam's financial technology sector, which is anticipated to double in value by 2020, is currently ranked second in ASEAN for confident growth. The fast altering macroeconomic climate in Vietnam is what is fueling this momentum.Vietnam is also regarded as having an alluring environment with stable political conditions and promising economic growth, which supports the growth of SMEs (Bui, 2020). Incredibly, Vietnam now has a smartphone penetration rate of 53.8% (Nguyen et al. People use mobile phones more as information and entertainment sources to fulfill their daily needs.
According to Dang and Vu (2020), e-wallet is considered newcomers because the majority of transactions in Vietnam remain cash on delivery. In light of the aforementioned information, research on the acceptance and growth of electronic wallets in Vietnam is anticipated to be of the biggest importance in the Fintech market due to its immense potential. In order to attract more clients, they have also invested billions of VND in advertising campaigns. Many customers use e-wallets to pay their utility bills because they are convenient and encourage new users to join the community of users.
E-wallets have also been used to construct free money transfer gateways between customers of various institutions. In 2019, there should be roughly 20 e- wallets available, according to the State Bank of Vietnam. Foreign investors Samsung and Goldman Sachs as well as domestic investors Vingroup, Viettel, and VNPay have shown interest in this upward trend. The number of E-wallet users is now at 10 million worldwide, however given that Vietnam has more than 100 million mobile phone users, this number may increase dramatically.
However, a lot of new businesses have entered the mobile payment market, raising competition, 8 due to the large market potential. As a result, due to enticing special offers provided to new customers, consumers may decide to use alternative payment system solutions. Because of this, the development of E-wallet payment systems and the growth of their market share depend on customer loyalty. Academic studies looking on cashless payment systems including contactless payment (Olsen, 2008), Alipay (He et al.,), and e-money (Dang, 2020) have become more and more prevalent.
Most e-wallet research have concentrated on consumer adoption in certain geographic areas, such as India and Africa (Singh and Sinha, 2020; Singh et al. Growing markets like Vietnam received less attention in the present databases. Additionally, the majority of study examined wide populations rather than focusing on specific groups with distinguishable habits. This study will examine those elements in order to comprehend the factors influencing Generation Z's adoption of electronic wallets in Vietnam.
In order to form hypotheses, the literature on the use of E-wallets will be read. The obtained data will then be assessed by SEM in order to draw conclusions. In the end, the research results will be thoroughly discussed.2 Research objectives and research question Online technology and related applications are constantly improving, allowing customers to interact with businesses and organizations in a variety of ways. The use of telephone transactions and automated teller machines (ATMs) for electronic banking has been around for a while.
In more recent years, it has been transformed by the internet, a new delivery method that has simplified banking transactions for both users and banks. No matter where the customer is, the internet offers quicker access, is more practical, and is always available. This study contributes to the extant knowledge concerning factors impacting continuance intention through the following research objective: To identify the impact of certain services characteristics and banking systems on clients. In order to achieve these objectives, two research questions are addressed as follows: 9 1.What are factors that impact continuance intention to use E-banking in Viet Nam? 2.To what extent do these factors impact bank performance? 1.3 Research methods A questionnaire survey is employed to investigate the continuance intention to use E-Banking in VietNam.
Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM)with support of Smart-PLS 3.8 is adopted to analyze the quantitative data obtained from 255 people in Vietnam. Data can be progressively evaluated using the measurement model and structural model thanks to Smart-PLS. While the latter is used to evaluate the study's hypotheses, the former allows for the assessment of the reliability and validity of constructs' measures.4 Research findings Online banking has become a widely used new class of financial services. However, little is known about Vietnamese purchases because it is a complex socio- technical phenomenon that takes into account a wide range of parameters.
The main focus of this study is on the factors that affect Vietnamese customers' intentions to use online banking services. This study's objective was to look into factors that might affect people's decisions to use online banking services in Vietnam, which helps us understand the study's subject better. These results can help online banking service providers adopt user growth plans and can be used as a resource for future research in the area. 10 CHAPTER 2 : LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 E- Banking and E-Banking in Viet Nam: 2.1 E- Banking: The internet has been continuously growing in recent years, and it now offers a variety of web-based applications that give businesses a new approach to attract and keep customers by introducing new services and goods (Tan, Teo 2000).
