Year 2017 Student’s do an VI ABSTRACT The CNC gear hobbing machine is equipped with a large amount of state-of-the-art technology and knowledge in designing and manufacturing. In this paper, we have modified the parts’ design and dimensions that show in the portfolio of detail drawings and assembly drawings; thus many of them have significant changes, compared to the previous design.
Moreover, a simulation in the tailstock operation has been created to show the clear view of machine. Finally, it is thus reasonable to contend that CNC gear hobbing machine can be considered as the promising machine in the gear manufacturing application areas, step-by-step to meet the market’s demands. Vietnam’s government had proposed their goal to become a modern industrialized country by 2020, one of the most important mission is speeding up the field of mechanical engineering. Mechanical plays a vital role in country’s industry, a firm foundation for economics growth. Once it develops, the following effects are the development of supporting industries such as automotive, machine manufacture, etc. Therefore, this development contributes to the progress of industrialization and modernization of Vietnam, a positive effect on Vietnam economics.
Focusing on education and training to forming and preparing the workforce in order to make a well-prepared for the engineering education of Vietnam. Based on the recent statistic in engineering education of Vietnam, there is a large number of training facilities in mechanical throughout Vietnam. But, in fact, the problem that we are facing with is the amount of CNC gear hobbing machine serve for the study is under expectation, it causes many practical difficulties for both teachers and students. Moreover, there is a large demand from gear manufacturers company about a gear hobbing machine own by the domestic manufacturer, which brings reasonable price for the machine, the maintenance and preservation expenses can be decreased for times compared to imported machine.
Certainly, proactive in manufacturing technology of CNC gear hobbing machine is the first step to creating a firm foundation, which opens a new way in approaching our goal and taking advantages of our workforce in the field of high-accuracy industry. Moreover, the development of science and technology is placed us under competitive pressure, each country has their own competitiveness. If we (Vietnam) don’t keep up with it, we will be left behind. And again, we back to the position of under-control of these countries, hardly ever jump in the global value chains of supporting industries.
Comprehensive of the gear 1. - A gear is a rotating machine part having cut teeth, or cogs, which mesh with another toothed part to transmit torque. The teeth on the two meshing gears all have the same shape. Two or more meshing gears, working in a sequence, called a gear train or a transmission.
A gear can mesh with a linear toothed part, called a rack, thereby producing translation instead of rotation. Types of gear. - Based on the geometry and function properties, gear can be devided into many types as follows. - Gears for parallel shafts: spur gear, helical gear, double helical (herringbone) gear, rack and pinion.
